Use this guide to see which of Click & Drop's features you should use to help you print your postage labels quickly and easily.
1. Managing your orders

Click & Drop is based around orders. Orders contain the name and address data of the recipient of your mail, and can also include information about your products. Even if you do not run a store, you will still create orders within Click & Drop.
You apply a weight, packaging type, and shipping/postage services to an order to generate a label. Orders can be obtained by the following means:
eCcommerce integrations: Click & Drop can automatically import your eligible orders directly from any of the following eCommerce marketplaces and web stores:
- Not on the High Street
Spreadsheet order imports: You can import orders directly from a spreadsheet into Click & Drop. Use this method if your orders come from any of the following:
- Your own website (or an eCommerce marketplace not yet supported)
- Your own ordering system
- Over the phone
- From any 3rd party order management software
Click & Drop Desktop: Install our application to link Click & Drop with a folder on your computer or network. Click & Drop will read and import any spreadsheets dropped into this folder, and return tracking information. We recommend this method if you use any 3rd party order management software, or you would like to run Click & Drop across multiple machines and/or printers.
Dropbox: Similar to spreadsheet order imports, you can set up a folder in DropBox which Click & Drop can connect to in order to import your orders.
Manual orders: For every other type of order, or if you ever wish to send a one-off, you can create an order manually with a simple web form.
2. Choosing a Royal Mail service and generating your labels
Once your orders are in Click & Drop, you can begin to apply a weight, packaging size, and shipping service ready to generate your labels.
Choose label format: Specify paper size, label type, number of labels per page, and more.
Shipping rules: Shipping rules are an easy to use and time-saving feature designed to apply postage to an order instantly and automatically, depending on criteria you set.
Royal Mail Print Assist: This feature allows you to configure your printers in order to print your labels automatically, with no clicks required.
Scan & Print (Online Business Account customers only) If you have packing staff, our Scan & Print feature allows you to scan a despatch note in order to generate a label.
