This guide explains how to connect your Click & Drop account to your EKM store. This will allow you to download, manage, and generate postage labels for your EKM orders.
Within Click & Drop, click the 'Settings' link. The 'Settings' page will open. In the 'Integrations' section, click the 'Go' button.
Next, your 'Integrations' page will open. Click the 'Add new integration' button.
A new pop window will appear asking you to choose the marketplace or store that you would like to connect to. Click ‘EKM’.
In the new pop-up window, you will be presented with a series of fields that need to be filled in before your integration can be created:
Trading name: Select your trading name from the list.
Integration name: This information will be filled automatically, once you have chosen your trading name
Mark orders as despatched on channel: Select this option if you wish for your orders to be automatically marked as despatched in EKM once they are marked as despatched in Click & Drop.
Click the green 'Connect to EKM' button when ready, and you will be redirected to your EKM login page.
Enter your EKM user name/email address and password and click the 'Log in' button to proceed.
Next you will need to allow Click & Drop permission to read and write to your store. Click the green 'Allow' button when ready.
Please note: When creating integrations, we often must request full access to your store in order for the integration to work properly. Click & Drop will only import the data we need for producing Royal Mail shipping labels and other documents.
You will be redirected to your EKM admin panel. If you do not already have Click & Drop open in another window or tab, log back in and your completed integration will be visible in your 'Integrations' settings page.
The chain link icon will turn green to show your account has been connected successfully.
Can I set custom statuses for my orders?
Click & Drop allows you to specify your own order statuses. To begin, Click your EKM integration to expand the row.
Here there are two options:
Import orders in the following status: Use the drop down menu or type the status of orders in your EKM store that you would like Click & Drop to download. This is set to 'Processing' by default.
Set despatched orders to the following status: Use the drop down menu or type the status that you would like your EKM orders to change to after they have been marked as despatched in Click & Drop. This is set to 'Dispatched' by default.
Please note that changing these values incorrectly could result in lost or unprocessed orders. If you enter a value that does not yet exist in your EKM store, Click & Drop will reset the values back to default.
Can I disconnect from EKM?
You're free to disconnect from EKM at any time via Click & Drop.
In the 'Integrations' section under the 'Settings' link, click on 'Go'. Click anywhere within the EKM row to expand the data.
To disconnect the channel, simply click the 'Delete' button. Once you have disconnected, you will no longer be able to download and process any orders from the store.
If you need to reconnect the store at a later date, simply repeat the connection process.
Store order status and import frequency
Click & Drop is only able to import EKM orders that:
- Are in 'Processing' status
- Are no older than 7 days
- Have been paid for
- Have products with both a SKU and name. This can be added as a 'Product code attribute'. For more information, please see this guide: https://support.ekm.com/support/solutions/articles/44000856484-features-product-attributes
Please note that Click & Drop does not support variant products, so product SKUs should be unique and not shared across multiple products.
Eligible orders will import into your Click & Drop account approximately every 15-30 minutes. We will attempt to update the status of orders in your EKM store approximately every 30 minutes.
How does Click & Drop handle products from EKM?
Whenever an order imports into Click & Drop from EKM, we will check for any SKU included with the order. If you already have a product in Click & Drop with the same SKU, we will be able to add key product data to the order, such as weight, product names, and any required electronic customs information.
If an order imports from EKM with a SKU value that does not already have a matching product in Click & Drop, we will automatically create one when the order is marked as despatched.
We will not automatically use order weights imported from EKM the first time a SKU is imported. This is so you can check the weight of the package is correct.
For efficient order processing, we recommend that you import information on your products into Click & Drop before processing orders.
For more information on how to create, import, or edit products, please see the following section of our help guides: How to create and import products.
Troubleshooting your EKM integration
My store keeps disconnecting:
Click & Drop is provided an access token by EKM in order to establish a connection. The following could potentially cause a token to expire, which could disconnect your integration:
1. If another application, plugin, or integration uses the same access token as Click & Drop, then you may experience some connectivity issues
2. Access tokens will be revoked if they haven't been used in 15 days
3. Access tokens will be revoked if permissions are removed, for example if you change your account password, or if you change permissions.
We recommend disconnecting and reconnecting to establish a new token.
