This guide explains how to connect your Click & Drop account to your eBay store. This will allow you to download, manage, and generate postage labels for your eBay orders.
Within Click & Drop, click the 'Settings' link:
The 'Settings / Overview' page will open. In the 'Integrations' section, click the 'Go' button.
Your 'Integrations' page will open. Click the 'Add new integration' button.
A new pop window will appear asking you to choose the marketplace or store that you would like to connect to. Click ‘Ebay.’
In the new pop-up window, check your trading name is correct. If you wish to use multiple trading names, you need to create a separate integration for each. Once you have selected your Trading name, the integration name field will be filled in automatically.
You will also need to select the country for your eBay store. For integration eBay stores, you will need to create a new integration for each.
You can also check the 'Mark orders as despatched' box. Selecting this will save you time as your items will be automatically marked as despatched in your eBay store once they are marked as despatched in Click & Drop.
Click the 'Save' button to save your details, or click the 'Save and connect' button to save your details and continue the connection process.
You will be redirected to a sign-in page in eBay.
Enter your eBay username and password and then click the ‘Sign In’ button:
Read the eBay statement, and then click the ‘Agree’ button.
Please note: When creating integrations, we often must request full access to your store in order for the integration to work properly. Click & Drop will only import the data we need for producing Royal Mail shipping labels and other documents.
You will then be returned to your 'Integrations' page in Click & Drop. Your eBay integration will not be visible, and in the 'Status' column, there will be a red link icon.
eBay will automatically provide Click & Drop with an authorisation code that will allow your orders to be downloaded. Once this has been provided by eBay, the link icon in the 'Status' column will change from red to green.
This process usually take a few seconds, but please allow up to a minute for this to occur.
Ensuring your eBay store stays connected
eBay’s authorisation codes are a requirement for connecting to Click & Drop; however, these codes are only valid for 1 year, so you will need to reconnect after this time to continue processing your orders.
The 'Connection expires' column displays when your integration will expire. On this date, simply reconnect your integration.
Store order status and import frequency
Your orders must be in the status of ‘Awaiting Shipment’ or ‘Awaiting Dispatch’, and no older than 7 days in order to download into Click & Drop. Eligible orders will import into your Click & Drop account approximately every 15-30 minutes.
We will attempt to mark your orders as despatched in your eBay store every 30 minutes between 09:00 and 17:00, and every 105 minutes between 17:00 and 09:00.

Can I disconnect Click & Drop from my eBay store?
You're free to disconnect from eBay at any time via Click & Drop. In the 'Integrations' section under the 'Settings' link, click on 'Go'. Click anywhere within the eBay row to expand the data. To disconnect the channel, click the 'Delete' button. Once you have disconnected, you will no longer be able to download and process any orders from the store. If you need to reconnect the store at a later date, simply repeat the connection process.
Do you support eBay VTN numbers?
Yes, if your orders contain an eBay VTN number, we will automatically pass this reference in all relevant notifications.
How does Click & Drop handle products from eBay?
Whenever an order imports into Click & Drop from eBay, we will check for any SKU included with the order. If you already have a product in Click & Drop with the same SKU, we will be able to add key product data to the order, such as weight, product names, and any required electronic customs information.
If an order imports from eBay with a SKU value that does not already have a matching product in Click & Drop, we will automatically create one when the order is marked as despatched.
We will not automatically use order weights imported from eBay the first time a SKU is imported. This is so you can check the weight of the package is correct.
For efficient order processing, we recommend that you import information on your products into Click & Drop before processing orders.

Troubleshooting
Some unwanted orders are importing into my Click & Drop account
Due to technical limitations, and the methods we use to look for valid orders, there will sometimes be older orders that import into Click & Drop. While we do everything we can to prevent this, we are not always able to stop older orders importing into Click & Drop- particularly when an integration is first created.
Any unwanted order should be deleted within Click & Drop or marked as 'Despatched by other courier' to prevent them downloading in again.
Some of my orders are not being marked as shipped in my eBay store
There may sometimes be occasions when eBay has not responded to our attempts to update the status of your orders. If this occurs to one of your orders, Click & Drop will automatically attempt to send the request again after 4 hours.
Orders aren't importing after integrating
If you are experiencing problems with orders importing following integration setup, please try creating a new integration, logging in to eBay using your eBay seller name, rather than email. This issue is more common for users with multiple email accounts associated to their eBay sellers account. This process is detailed below:
- Navigate to the correct eBay top level domain for the eBay marketplace you are integrating, for example eBay.co.uk for the United Kingdom, eBay.fr for eBay France integrations.
- Login with your username (eBay seller name) rather than email address
- Confirm the correct and expected eBay seller username is shown on the
Sign-in and security
page, towards the top right under the blue search button - Then, without logging out from eBay, go to Click & Drop and create another new eBay integration and grant the app permissions. If prompted to log in again, ensure that the correct
ebay seller username
is used, instead of an email address. - When complete, return to eBay and check that the Click & Drop app is listed in the
Third Party app access
section and that the correct eBay seller name is still listed top right under the blue search button.
Third Party App access
page, once again checking that the correct seller name is shown top right, and trying to create another new eBay integration from within Click & Drop.
