In Click & Drop, each package or letter sent to a customer is referred to as an Order. Orders contain the name and address information of the person or organisation you are posting to and, optionally, information on the products you are sending.
Orders can be created by the following methods:
- Orders can be downloaded automatically from your Channels. Click & Drop is able to integrate with all the leading marketplaces and webstores, such as eBay, Amazon, and Shopify.
- Orders can be created manually by typing your details into a form.
- Orders can be imported via a spreadsheet, or through your Dropbox account or our own application, Click & Drop Desktop.
An order goes through several different stages when being processed. You can click on the different sections of your dashboard to view all of your orders of each status.
New
Orders in 'New' status are ready to process. They have not been assigned a packaging type or shipping service yet.
The current number of your 'New' orders is shown by the 'New orders' tile on your Click & Drop dashboard.
Postage Applied
An order will change to 'Postage applied' status once you have entered the packaging type and weight, and chosen a shipping service.
Shipping Rules can be used to automatically apply postage to your new orders.
The current number of your orders in 'Postage Applied' status is shown by the 'Orders ready for printing' tile on your Click & Drop dashboard.
Label Generated
Once you have applied postage to an order, you can generate the shipping label ready to be affixed to the package or letter.
If you are a Personal customer, it is at this stage you will pay for your labels.
labels are produced in PDF format and are compatible with most home and office printers.
The current number of your orders in 'Label Generated' status is shown by the 'Orders ready for despatch' tile on your Click & Drop dashboard.
Despatched
When your package is ready to be sent to the customer, you can mark it as despatched. This will note the time and date it has been sent, and can also update the status of your order in the marketplace or webstore.
This is the last stage of the order process for Personal customers.
The current number of your orders in 'Despatched' status each day is shown by the 'Orders despatched today' tile on your Click & Drop dashboard.
Manifested (Online Business Account customers only)
The last stage of your order processing is to manifest your orders. This process generates the paperwork to be handed over to your collection driver or post office with your packages. This stage will also send the information to your Online Business Account to be billed.
This is the last stage of the order process for Online Business Account customers.
If you need to make adjustments to your orders, you can reset the status of your orders back to 'New' at any time before you pay for your labels (Personal customers) or manifest your orders (Online Business Account customers).
