Important note: This feature is not yet available for all Click & Drop accounts, and is being trialled for a number of customers first.
Click & Drop has introduced functionality to allow you to add more than one OBA (Online Business Account) number and/or more than one Posting Location Number (PLN) to a single Click & Drop account.
This is useful if you have multiple warehouses or offices, have sites across the UK, or if you generate labels on behalf of more than one Royal Mail OBA account, and you wish to manage everything from a single account in Click & Drop.
In Click & Drop, each distinct OBA number and PLN combination is referred to as a carrier.
This feature will allow you to manifest orders for different OBA account numbers or PLNs at the same time. You will receive separate manifest paperwork for each carrier.

1. How to add new carriers
When the feature has been enabled on your account, go to your Settings page, and a 'Shipping Carriers' tab should be visible.
In the top right click the 'Add a new carrier' button.
You will be presented with the following options:
Friendly name: Give the carrier a distinct name. We recommend using a location descriptor, such as My Company - Swindon, or My Company - Glasgow. This will make selecting a carrier easier when you are creating and processing your orders.
Account Number: Enter your 10 digit OBA account number. This can be shared between more than one carrier as long as the PLN numbers are different.
Posting location number: Enter your 10 digit Posting Location number, starting with '9'. This can be shared between more than one carrier as long as the OBA numbers are different.
Click the 'Add New Carrier' button to continue, and repeat as many times as you require.
When you have submitted your new carrier, this must be approved by our support teams. They will be notified of this automatically. Please allow up to 2 working days for this action to be completed. The status of your carrier will change to 'Active' when this part of the process is completed.
2. How to specify carriers when applying postage manually
If you have crated an order manually, or an order has imported from one of your integrations, you can specify the carrier on step 2 of the Apply Postage page.
From the 'Carrier' dropdown, select the carrier you wish to assign. All eligible postage services associated with that carrier will load. From there, continue applying postage as normal.
3. How to specify carriers when importing orders via spreadsheet/Click & Drop Desktop
If you import your orders via spreadsheet, either manually or through the Click & Drop Desktop app, we have added a new 'Carrier name' field.
You will need to add this as a new column in your spreadsheets, and you will need to re-map your spreadsheet to include the new field. You must make sure that the values you add in this column matches exactly the 'Friendly name' of one of the carriers you have set in Step 1 above.
4. How to specify carriers when importing orders via Public API
If you import orders via our public API integration, we have added a new carrierName field in the POST Create orders call.
You must make sure that the values you add in this column matches exactly the 'Friendly name' of one of the carriers you have set in Step 1 above.
More information can be found in our developer documentation specifications.
5. How to specify carriers when using shipping rules
You can also specify the carrier that will be associated with each order when postage is applied by a shipping rule.
We have added a new 'Select carrier' dropdown menu to our shipping rules settings that will allow you to select a particular carrier that will be assigned to each order that is eligible for the shipping rule. You can see this dropdown menu when creating a new shipping rule, or when editing an existing one.
